This section of the site (ICE MERP Downloads) contains downloadable content related to role playing gaming in Middle-earth using ICE's MERP system.
All of this content has been out of print since 1999 and will never be able to be for print or sale again. Some printed modules (used) occasionally make an appearance on ebay for collectors, and this site (merp.com) in no ways detracts from the collection value of owning the "real" modules, but they are priced on EBay far out of range for the average gamer.
The gaming community has been kind enough to pool it's resources from all over the world to help make these available to each other.
Many thanks for those original authors and creators of such great source material, this section is a salute to your wonderful hard work, may it never be taken away from the eyes and minds of the world!

There are now nearly 200 Modules, Supplements and Rulebooks spanning from 1982 to 1999 in this section of the site!
Due to the avarice and manipulations of Tolkien Enterprises (known extensively and with considerable vitriol in the role playing gaming community as the "Dark Forces or Mordor"), as of September 22nd 1999, ICE lost the license to produce or sell ANY Middle-earth related products.

Decipher started an effort, after acquiring licensing for limited content based on the Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings New Line Cinema movies, to create a new system and content. But apparently the entire Lord of the Rings staff was fired around early 2004, in LA and moved their LotR HQ to Virginia. There is only very limited content available from that effort unfortunately. However you can still buy it at various stores and online. Some of the contributors to the ICE series contributed to the Decipher content too. But it looks grim for it's continuation from this posting from Decipher.
The good news is you can get some more of their adventures for free from their website as PDF downloads.
MERP.COM WILL NOT PUT ANYTHING STILL AVAILABLE FOR NORMAL SALE IN PRINT ON THIS SITE, so please don't ask about Decipher, ICE (in-print), or other in-print content as long as it's still available for purchase, or has the likelihood of being reprinted (such as ICE Rolemaster material).
Go to your local gaming store, or purchase online or go to Decipher's Lord of the Rings Role Playing Game website for Decipher material.
Merp.com also will not post any in-print ICE material (such as Rolemaster), for such material go to the www.ironcrown.com website and buy their products (no Middle-earth related though).
