Listing of websites receiving Cease and Desists from Tolkien Enterprises in Fall 2004
We're hearing that other sites are getting C&D's from TE. It appears TE is up to their usual once every 2-3 years sweep of any Tolkien related sites. If your site received a C&D from them, please consider posting a reply to this page, or email webmaster@merp.com so we can list you on this section, to let others know which sites are being affected.
You can just reply to this article, or send an email to webmaster@merp.com to let us know if you have received a C&D from Telkien Enterprises, and what it was related to. The highly praised ACG (Advanced Character Generator) from http://www.corleone.com/acg/ has been removed from the server due to threats from the greedy usurpers of tolkiens works :-(
This small but excellent program, contained only a minimal, if any references to tolkiens works. Shame on them. If they we're only republishing the complete merp/rm works, i could partly understand their behaviour, but no. Sheer insanity.
