New Merp.com Website 6.0 Nearing Launch!
It's official, Merp.com is overhauling it's website for the first time in over 2 years. Lots of great improvements in design, content, and functionality based on the community's feedback.
The site is still having some layout fixes made, and it's taking an especially long time to copy the vast amounts of
content from the old site to the new one.
Fortunately it's a similar platform, just a newer version (Zope with Plone on Python with Apache), so a lot of content
has been as easy as "export" from old site, then "import" to new site.
But a lot of other content that was on other servers and not merged with the main site has to be hand copied and adjusted
to fit.
Also there's a lot of content that just never made it onto the old site because it couldn't handle it, and now the new
site can.
So lots of great improvements on the way!
