Paper and dice based role playings games have been the most popular form, and what most people think of when you mention [RPG]?, of role playing gaming, until recent years with the growing populariy of [Computer-based RPGS]?.

Paper and Dice RPGS were derived originally from early wargaming systems like [Chainmail]? and [H.G. Wells]?' [Little Wars]?, and eventually initially evolved into the famous (and infamous) [Dungeons & Dragons]?.

There are scores, if not hundreds of paper and dice role playing gaming systems available over the years. Many are now out of print, some are new, some have come back to life in new versions after being out of print for many years.
